Specification
DEPARTMENT: FMCG

PURPOSE OF THE JOB
To develop successful private label products for PEP (FMCG) across non-foods and confectionery

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop private label products for non-foods (toiletries, household, cleaning, baby) & confectionery
Develop Brand dossier for all private labels
Coordinate development across buying teams and multiple suppliers
Manage multiple design agencies
Manage the briefing process and timelines with designers and suppliers
Stay updated on trends in the private label industry
Compliance with the CPA and other relevant legislation

Requirements
JOB INCUMBENT REQUIREMENTS
Relevant Degree or Diploma (e.g. Design, Retail, Marketing or Commercial)
3 years minimum experience in private label
3 years minimum experience new product development for a retailer
Packaging experience of non-foods and confectionery
Brand building experience would be an added advantage
Computer Literacy: MS Office
Competencies required: Planning, organizing and control; Building and maintaining relationships; Good communicator; Confident; Creative; Business Acumen; Negotiation and influencing; Building and maintaining relationships and ability to function independently
